Increasing cycle length and flattening power distribution in soluble boron-free small modular reactor

Population growth, industrial development as well limited fossil fuel resources have motivated the study of other energies, especially nuclear energy. Small modular reactors been introduced an efficient energy source due to their greater safety, easy transport, electricity generation and water desalination, even in remote areas. Optimization management improve performance save leads cost-effective design with higher efficiency better safety. In this research, core loading pattern optimization system-integrated advanced reactor (SMART) has considered using new dragonfly algorithm. addition selected algorithm, optimizing also depends on definition objective function. Two-objective functions including flattening power distribution maximizing effective multiplication factor are considered. Simulations assemblies were performed by DRAGON lattice calculation PARCS codes, respectively. According final results, cycle length increased for 185 days 582 pcm, Also fitness function is decreased from 0.905931 0.194527.
